During the last three months, five homes in our area have been burglarized. As you can imagine, we are very concerned about this trend and hope you will help us. All of the burglaries have occurred on weekend nights when many of us attend high school ball games or other community activities. It is clear that someone is targeting this neighborhood at specific times.
Several of us have met to organize a neighborhood watch program, but we feel we need more help that we can muster alone. We think that increasing police patrols at these vulnerable times and having volunteers remain in the neighborhood on some nights might help. In any case, we need to learn how to protect our homes better.
We would like to schedule a neighborhood meeting during which you or your representative could discuss what action should be taken. Most of the families could be represented on any weekday evening. Could you please let us know if this is possible? Thank you.
I have just learned of the city council's proposal to build a new street connecting 1600 South with Maple Avenue. Many of the residents and small business owners in the area are strongly opposed to such a development. For example, more than one hundred elementary school students would have to cross that road twice each day. Others have equally valid concerns.
We understand that the council has proposed an alternative route in an area where there are no homes or schools. We strongly urge you accept that proposal. I think time will show the wisdom of that choice.
The intersection of Main and Center needs a stoplight before someone gets killed. The traffic there is so heavy that it is almost impossible to make a left turn onto either street. I nearly had an accident myself last week, and I can name at least five other friends who have had close calls. Let the garbage go uncollected for a week, close down the library for a day or two, forgo fixing a few potholes, but put a light at that intersection.
Thank you for listening. I'm sure you'll do the right thing.

I am writing to express my dismay at the service at your Eden Hill branch on Saturday 14 January.
I often collect prescriptions from the pharmacy on behalf of my grandmother, Mrs Elaine Bingham. On this occasion there were two prescriptions: one for 10 x 50 mg Kendomol and one for 50 x 100 mg Leoprone. I was served quickly even though there appeared to be only one pharmacist on duty. However, as I was leaving I saw that I had been given 500 mg tablets of Kendomol. This is ten times stronger than the prescription called for.
If I hadn't noticed the difference between the prescription and the actual tablets, my grandmother could have taken a dangerous overdose of Kendomol. I would be worried about getting any future prescriptions at Eden Hill.
The pharmacist apologised and corrected the mistake but I wanted to bring it to your attention. I think it happened because there were not enough staff on duty. I understand that mistakes happen but there needs to be a minimum of two pharmacists at all times so all prescriptions can be checked.
I hope you can take steps to make sure this mistake does not happen again.

Dear Mr. Schmitt,
I am writing in the name of the residents of Arrow Street, which is located in the Didsbury area. As you may now, we live in a bohemian quarter so our street is cobble with narrow sidewalks. Even though the street is relatively short, it can be very crowded during the traffic jams which can emerge despite the fact that the street is straight one, offering easy pass for two vehicles in both directions. Having in mind the number of old people and children trespassing it every day in situation where many drivers accelerate or drive fast it can be very dangerous to be at street in many occasions. Accidents have happened, luckily with no severe consequences.
So, I was wondering if you could do something for our street. I request you to construct several speed bumps along the street, especially near the school, as we believe that it surely slow down the vehicles. We cannot wait anymore, as we know that it is perfect timing, especially because of the weather, since the summer is perfect timing for construction works, as the traffic will be eased and children out of school.
Thank you very much in advanced,

The Manager Maintenance
The roads in this area of the city are in very bad condition. They have not been repaired for the last over three years. The roads have so many pitfalls which sometimes cause accidents to unwary drivers.
The streets are not swept properly and regularly. There are not a sufficient number of dustbins and people throw rubbish here and there. During rains water collects here and there and drains overflow. The water stagnates giving rise to mosquito menace and malaria. I fail to understand why the authorities do not rise to the occasion and meet this menace to public health. At times it becomes very difficult to pass by the heaps of garbage and overflowing drains giving out strong nauseating smell.
I hope this complaint would not fall on deaf ears and you would take immediate necessary steps to improve the sanitary condition in this locality.
